The 2007-08 Center Varsity Cheerleaders have been extremely busy this summer in preparation for the fall and winter sports seasons. During Center Community Days the girls served as "case girls" for Jeff Meehan's "Deal or No Deal" game. They also performed a dance/cheer for the huge crowd on hand. On Monday, August 13th the girls traveled to Kennywood Park where they competed against 16 large varsity squads from Western Pennsylvania and were awarded the second place trophy. Their next competition is slated for Saturday, August 25th at Tri-County Cheer/Dance Competition being held at Aliquippa Middle School. The captains are seniors Krista Baker, Lindsay Carter, Lindsay Carter and Leslie Patterson. In addition, seniors Courtney Carter, Alexa Hughes, Danielle Pollock, juniors Amanda Johnson,Kristina Kocis,Mallory McLaughlin, Marisa Melchiorre, Kristy Saska, Liz Weigle, freshmen Katie Blackburn, Leah Blackburn, Kaitlyn DeMatteis, Abby Filippi Tiffany Murphy and Nicole Richard round out the team. They are coached by Lauren Dmitsak and Carla Copple.
